Here is what a recent pilgrim had to say about our annual Holy Land pilgrimage!

Thank you for a most wonderful, spiritual experience these past 2 weeks. The pilgrimage surpassed any expectations I had. Your teachings, Jeff, were so meaningful at each site. You are able to pull together all the history, the spirituality, the geography of the area, the archeological aspects, etc. so well to make the whole story make sense. You have challenged us to grow spiritually not only with questions to ask ourselves, but ways to ponder those question in our lives, and the wonderful "weapons" we have to tackle them, grow from them, and make necessary changes in our lives so that we may be better disciples of the Lord and spread the Good News to others. Certainly my times in adoration, and daily prayer will be enriched because of this Holy Land experience. ~~ Barb K

Something Worth Celebrating!

Tired of hearing bad news? Here in the Archdiocese of St. Paul & Minneapolis, we are teaming up with the Jewish Community Council of Minnesota and the Dakotas to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Church Document Nostra Aetate “In Our Times” (the Vatican II Document explaining the Church’s relationship to non-catholics and specifically the Jews.)

Keynote speaker, Dr. Amy-Jill Levine is Professor of New Testament and Jewish Studies at Vanderbilt University and a renowned Jewish scholar of Jesus in his Jewish context. She is witty and engaging!

We'd love to see you there to celebrate our common faith in God, stand in solidarity to pray for one another and our unsettled world, and above all commemorate one of the great documents of Vatican II. (And eat some kosher food!)

Are You Discerning a Vocation?

We are so excited about our newest pilgrimage that we have designed specifically for people trying to discern God's will for their life. Maybe a vocation in religious life or the priesthood, maybe married life or consecrated single life. On this 8 day pilgrimage to the Holy Land in May 9-19, 2016, you have the chance to spend time in prayer, learn the teachings of Jesus from Jeff and Fr. Mike Schmitz and have mass on locations where Jesus lived and modeled for the disciples how to do God's will.

We hope this one-of-a-kind pilgrimage will be the launching point for men entering the priesthood or young people exploring religious life or feeling the call of God to walk boldly as a Catholic in this ever-changing world. We hope to raise up faithful, strong Catholics to carry the Faith on to the next generation.

If you know of anyone interested, please let them know about this opportunity. Also, pray to see if God is calling you to sponsor a potential young person wanting to discern God's call on their life.

Gen2Rev Storybook Prototype

Wow! We had a terrific time at the Diocesan Conference in Fargo! We met a few of the Kickstarter Backers of the Gen2Rev Storybook and were able to give them a prototype copy of the book. We also were able to get the book into the hands of educators at the conference as well. We only had a limited amount of the prototype books, but the line to get one extended down the hall! We are hoping to gain valuable feedback from this round of the book. It is evident that the Gen2Rev Storybook fills a missing part of Catholic education.

Our hopes is to have another version ready for purchase in a month!

Marriage & Family Conference, Fargo, ND

At the close of this church year focusing on Marriage and the Family, we are excited to be able to join the Diocese of Fargo at their annual conference October 25th as speakers. We feel more than ever that the beautiful teachings of the Catholic faith on love and marriage are being attacked in our country, and it is extremely important to encourage families to be proud of their faith and Catholic teaching rather than cowering to the the secular thought that has been redefining family for decades. We are looking forward to gathering with many wonderful families in Fargo.
